Job summary

Americold is recruiting a Forklift Operative at The Gables, Camelgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire. This role mixes general warehouse duties with forklift tasks in a temperature-controlled environment.

You will load/unload pallets, use a Warehouse Management System with handheld scanners, and adhere to HACCP and safety procedures. Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with training available for forklift licence. Join a global leader with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling pallets and inventory.
• Able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Able to remain calm and focused under pressure during busy periods.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks as required.
• Move pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas.
• Operate within the warehouse area, ensuring product integrity.
• Receive and dispatch pallets using a Warehouse Management System with handheld scanners.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety rules.
• Carry out general warehouse duties, including packing and product handling.
• Support packing and preparation of products for distribution.
• Adhere to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
