Job summary

Center Parcs Longleat Forest is seeking a Forest Ranger to maintain woodland areas and support conservation efforts. The role involves operating forestry tools, working outdoors in all weather, and contributing to positive guest experiences.

You will work full-time with shifts between 7am and 7pm, with a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over 4 weeks, and may be required to join the call-out rota. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in horticulture / forestry or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable outdoors in all weathers.
• Knowledge of tools and safety procedures.
• Full valid driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months.

Forest Ranger

Longleat Forest | £14.01 per hour

Care for the forest that cares for our guests

As a Forest Ranger, you'll help keep our woodland safe, healthy and full of life - from maintaining footpaths to protecting wildlife habitats and waterways.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining forest and landscaped areas


• Operating specialist tools and machinery


• Supporting conservation and seasonal forestry work


• Work outdoors in all seasons and all weathers

Your working hours

• Full-time contract, with shifts falling between 7am and 7pm


• You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements


• This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays


• You may also be required to participate in the department's call-out rota as required

About you
