Job summary

A leading mental health service provider is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Forensic Psychiatry to join their forensic outreach service in Birmingham. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide community care, undertake patient assessments, and liaise with various agencies. Applicants should have a recognised medical degree, GMC registration, and relevant experience. The role offers a salary range of £61,542 - £99,216 annually and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least four years of full-time postgraduate training.
  • At least two years experience of working in psychiatry.
  • Experience of teaching and training at an undergraduate/postgraduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent community care for service users.
  • Undertake assessments of inpatients referred to the service.
  • Liaise with Ministry of Justice and other healthcare providers.

Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing service needs
Ability to work creatively within multidisciplinary team
Experience of providing psychological and/or social interventions
Skills in working with individuals who are difficult to engage

Education

Recognised medical degree
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
MRCPsych or equivalent
