Job summary

Reynolds Food Group in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the customer base across the foodservice market. This hands-on role involves researching prospects, making first contact and securing meetings with potential customers.

You’ll manage your own sales activity from initial approach to account launch, supported by experienced colleagues and rewarded for profitable new business.

Qualifications

• Experience in foodservice or related sector in a new-business or field sales role.
• Strong ability to prospect, contact and secure meetings.
• Structured approach to managing prospects, appointments and follow-up.
• Comfort discussing pricing and value with customers.
• Collaborative team player across sales, operations and support.

Responsibilities

• Identify decision-makers and create prospect lists.
• Generate leads through calls, emails, networking and field activity.
• Book and attend discovery meetings to assess requirements.
• Prepare pricing, proposals and product solutions with internal teams.
• Maintain momentum and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Coordinate new-account setup and handover to Channel Account Management.
• Record activity, next steps and forecasts in CRM.
