Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group stores are seeking a Food Manager to lead, coach and drive high standards across the food hall. You will ensure compliance, deliver exceptional customer service and manage performance with a hands-on approach to daily operations.

As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll motivate colleagues, schedule shifts, and ensure accurate pay and KPI performance while upholding safety and quality standards to sustain Sainsbury’s position as the first choice for groceries.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to coach others to raise performance and standards.
• Strong focus on delivering KPI targets and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes and maintaining excellent shop keeping and customer service.
• Ensure customers get the food they want and are proud to shop with us.
• People management including performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
• Take overall responsibility for running the store when needed, guiding and supporting colleagues.
