Job summary

Sainsbury's in Tonbridge is seeking a Food Manager to lead our high-volume food hall. You’ll coach, motivate and develop a team to deliver excellent customer service and store standards each day.

You’ll drive KPI performance, handle disciplinaries fairly, and, in absence of senior management, run the store with decisiveness and hands-on leadership to ensure customers receive what they want.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Experience leading teams in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
• Leadership in high-volume, fast-paced retail or hospitality operations.
• Proven success delivering against KPIs (sales, stock, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing performance, absence and disciplinary matters.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the food hall.
• Ensure compliance to processes while delivering great shop keeping and customer service.
• Ensure every customer gets the food they want when they shop with us.
• Manage performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
• Occasionally run the store, giving direction and support to colleagues.
