Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Food Manager to lead store operations, coach teams, and uphold high standards of customer service. You will drive daily performance, manage scheduling and compliance, and take ownership of delivering for customers across a busy food hall.

As a manager, you will coach colleagues, manage performance, and ensure the store runs smoothly with a focus on product availability, safety standards, and outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Proven track record of coaching others to raise performance and customer service standards.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver against KPIs such as sales, stock availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes while maintaining strong customer service and store presentation.
• Overseeing people management including performance, disciplinaries and scheduling/pay accuracy.
• Occasionally take overall responsibility for running the store and guiding colleagues to deliver for customers.
