Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Food Store Manager to lead and coach a fast-paced food hall, driving service and standards. You will ensure processes are followed, schedules and pay are accurate, and that every customer leaves satisfied.

You’ll inspire teams, manage performance, and step in to run the store when needed, delivering a best-in-class shopping experience and strong key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to coach teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Experience driving KPIs across sales, stock availability and customer satisfaction.
• Skilled in handling performance issues and disciplinary processes.
• Capable of running store operations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes while delivering strong shop keeping and customer service.
• Ensure customers get the products they want when they shop with us.
• People management including performance reviews, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
• Occasionally take overall responsibility for running the store and guiding colleagues to deliver for customers.
