Job summary

Geko at Seaham Hall is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our hospitality team. This role, based on zero-hour contracts, covers full and part-time hours, including weekends and bank holidays, in a fast-paced luxury environment.

You’ll earn up to £12.71 per hour plus a share of service charges, with an approximate annual uplift for full-time hours. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and a pathway to grow within a multi-award-winning team.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role (restaurant/bar/reception) is preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
Attention to detail to maintain high 5-star standards.
Knowledge of Simphony software is advantageous.
Ability to interact professionally with management, team and guests.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive service during meals and accommodate special requests.
Assist in general cleaning of working areas and maintain hygiene standards.
Upsell desserts, starters and drinks to enhance guest satisfaction.
Present yourself well, stay in uniform and groomed for shifts.
Attend training to understand the menu and offer guidance to guests.

Role: Food & Beverage Assistant - Geko

Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour, dependant on age plus a share of service charge, approx. 2k a year for full time hours

Hours: Full & Part Time hours on a zero hour contract, including weekends & bank holidays.

Relationships: General Manager, Kitchen team, Food & Beverage team

The ideal candidate

Previous experience in a similar role required – restaurant/bar/reception
