Job summary

Seaham Hall is seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef for Geko, our Japanese-inspired restaurant. You will work 40+ hours over four days, including weekends and bank holidays, with a share of the service charge (~£2k annually). Must have Chef experience and be ready to progress in a renowned, award-winning venue.

We offer a four-day week, uniform provided, free onsite parking, and a supportive team environment within Seaham Hall’s luxury resort.

Qualifications

• Previous Chef and Kitchen experience essential – minimum of 2 years.
• Ability to deputise for Head Chef and manage stock controls.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety in the kitchen (COSHH, HACCP, risk assessments).
• Hold the Food Hygiene Certificate from within the last three years.

The idealcandidate

• Previous Chef and Kitchen experience is essential -minimum of x2 years

• A comprehensive understanding of all aspects ofHealth & Safety within a Kitchen, including but not limited to COSHH,HACCP and Risk Assessments
• Hold the appropriate Food Hygiene Certificate fromwithin the last three years
• Provide own knives
• Attention to detail to ensure the 5-star standardof service is delivered
• Ability to effectively interact with management,team members in a professional manner
• Be a team player as well as an individual worker
• To be well presented and represent a high standardof competence at all times
• Must have transportdue to location and shifts
