Job summary

Geko at Seaham Hall is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our hospitality team. This role, based on zero-hour contracts, covers full and part-time hours, including weekends and bank holidays, in a fast-paced luxury environment.

You’ll earn up to £12.71 per hour plus a share of service charges, with an approximate annual uplift for full-time hours. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and a pathway to grow within a multi-award-winning team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (restaurant/bar/reception) is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail to maintain high 5-star standards.
• Knowledge of Simphony software is advantageous.
• Ability to interact professionally with management, team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive service during meals and accommodate special requests.
• Assist in general cleaning of working areas and maintain hygiene standards.
• Upsell desserts, starters and drinks to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Present yourself well, stay in uniform and groomed for shifts.
• Attend training to understand the menu and offer guidance to guests.
