Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Belfast is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Assistant to deliver attentive service to hotel guests and work closely with the team. You will train through our Dalata Academy and have opportunities to grow within the company.

The role requires fluent English, excellent communication, flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends, and a proactive, guest‑focused approach. Join a supportive, hotel‑wide network with staff discounts, meals on duty and pathways to advance

Qualifications

• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment is desirable.
• Flexibility in working hours including mornings/evenings and weekends.
• Previous hospitality or hotel experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Greet regular guests by name with a friendly, professional manner.
• Know the menu and wine list to make recommendations.
• Upsell and maximise sales where possible.
• Assist with general cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Serve guests with food and beverages.
• Provide a welcoming, efficient service to hotel guests.

Food & Beverage Assistant

You will receive training through our Dalata Academy to help you learn important skills. You will also meet experienced team members who can help you grow.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Assistant will provide friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Your Job:

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Served guests with food and beverage.

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experienceis essential.
• Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.
