Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is recruiting a Food and Beverage Assistant for our Manchester property. You will provide friendly and efficient service to hotel guests, with opportunities to grow within the group.

Training via the Dalata Academy helps you learn important skills while meeting experienced colleagues. The company promotes from within and values development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and clear communication are essential.
• Able to work mornings/evenings and weekends.
• Experience in a high-volume hotel environment is preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet regular guests by name and deliver personalised service.
• Know the menu and wine list; make confident recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales whenever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Serve guests with food and beverages.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Assistant will provide friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Your Job

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Served guests with food and beverage.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience is essential.
• Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.
