Job summary

Umami is seeking a motivated FOH Section Lead to join our new restaurant team in the United Kingdom. You will supervise the front-of-house, drive guest experiences, and ensure smooth service in a fast-paced dining environment.

You will mentor staff, coordinate reservations and seating, promote upselling, and work closely with the BOH team to deliver consistent quality while maintaining health and safety standards. Evening and weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a FOH leadership role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant billing procedures.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise FOH staff, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
• Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards.
• Oversee table management, reservations, and seating arrangements.
• Work closely with the BOH team to ensure seamless coordination.
• Promote upselling of menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve service issues quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, bar, and service stations.
• Ensure all FOH operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
