Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an End Point Assessor specialising in Front of House and hotel operations. This permanent role suits an approachable Hospitality professional who will assess apprentices and their employers against apprenticeship standards and help develop the next generation of industry talent.

You will plan and conduct high-volume assessments across Front Office, Reception, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and related hotel operations, with full training toward an assessor qualification.

Job description

Our client, a leading independent awarding organisation within the education and vocational training sector, is seeking an End Point Assessor specialising in Front of House and hotel operations. This permanent opportunity is ideal for an approachable Hospitality professional with strong technical training expertise who wants to support the development of the next generation of industry professionals.

About the Role:

You will work with apprentices and their employers to plan and carry out assessments, evaluating skills, knowledge and behaviours against the relevant apprenticeship standards. The role will focus on high-volume allocations across Front Office, Reception, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and wider hotel operations.

Both qualified and unqualified applicants will be considered. Full training and support towards an assessor qualification will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and conducting assessments for Hospitality apprentices
• Assessing learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours against apprenticeship standards
• Working closely with apprentices and employers to provide guidance and support
• Providing constructive feedback to promote learner progress and achievement
• Maintaining accurate assessment records and completing relevant documentation
• Supporting a high volume of apprenticeship allocations across hotel and Front of House specialisms
• Keeping occupational knowledge current through continuing professional development

Job Requirements:

• Hands-on experience within the Hospitality industry, particularly Front Office, Reception, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage or related hotel operations
• A strong understanding of Hospitality standards, practices and customer service
• Experience in Back of House operations is desirable
• Passion for supporting learning, development and professional achievement
• Technical training or assessor experience is desirable, although full training will be provided for suitable unqualified applicants
• Confident communication, organisation and record-keeping skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other IT systems, with training available where required
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
