Job summary

NVQ Assessor is seeking an experienced End-Point Assessor in Hospitality to complete EPA activities for apprenticeship standards up to Level 3. The role involves face-to-face and online assessments, scheduling, marking, and regular planning with candidates and employers.

Applicants should hold a recognised Assessor award, have hospitality competency, and be IT literate. A full driving licence and own vehicle are required. Mileage and a pension are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Assessor with a recognised Assessor award.
• Occupational competency within Hospitality (Back of House and Front of House).
• Hold a minimum Level 3 in Hospitality.
• Experience of learner observations, professional discussions, and reviews.
• IT literate; training will be provided on company systems.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete End Point Assessment activities face-to-face and electronically.
• Schedule EPA activities, mark and grade assessments.
• Hold regular planning meetings with candidates and employers.
• Participate in standardisation and training activities.
• Provide assistance to Apprentices, Employers or Delivery Teams.

Job description

Reading, Basingstoke and Guildford + Some Remote / Online Work

As a Hospitality End-Point Assessor, you will be responsible for completing a range of EPA activities, both face-to-face and electronically, with Apprentices completing Hospitality Apprenticeship Standards up to Level 3. These EPA activities include: to carry out End Point Assessment, scheduling of EPA activities, marking, grading and regular planning meetings with candidates and employers.

You will need to complete all necessary administration, ensuring that all data is processed and supplied in a timely manner. Maintaining a working knowledge of EPA, your vocational area, Apprenticeship Standards and evidence of CPD. Participate in standardisation and training activities while p roviding assistance to Apprentices, Employers or Delivery Teams, assisting with queries in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Must be a qualified and experienced Assessor, holding a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
• Must hold solid, occupational competency within Hospitality (both Back of House and Front of House) e.g. Housekeeping; Reception; Bar Service; Team Member; Commis Chef; Supervisor; Chef de Partie or Senior Production Chef.
• Hold a level 3 in Hospitality as a minimum.
• Experience of conducting learner observations, professional discussions, and reviews.
• Have an excellent understanding of Apprenticeship Standards, and be up to date with the Apprenticeship Levy.
  Must be IT Literate – training will be provided on company systems.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.
