Job summary

MPJ Recruitment Ltd in Manchester City Centre is seeking a proactive FNOL Claims Handler to be the first point of contact after road traffic accidents. You will gather incident details, explain the claims process and guide customers through next steps.

You’ll work with internal teams to progress claims efficiently, delivering outstanding service and aiming for performance and commission targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in FNOL, motor claims, insurance or accident management.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Calm, empathetic and professional telephone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and take ownership of customer interactions.
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Motivation to maximise earnings through strong performance.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound FNOL calls from customers following road traffic accidents.
• Gather accurate and detailed information about the incident and record all relevant claim details.
• Assess liability and determine the appropriate next steps in line with company procedures.
• Explain the claims process clearly, confidently and professionally.
• Arrange appropriate accident management services, including vehicle recovery, repairs and replacement vehicles.
• Keep customers informed and supported throughout the early stages of their claim.
• Liaise effectively with internal teams and service providers to ensure claims progress smoothly.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service while working towards targets and commissions.
• Identify opportunities to maximise customer outcomes and contribute to team success.
