Arup is offering an Industrial Internship in Flood Risk Management based in Birmingham or Cardiff. You will work on real projects from day one, learn from leaders, and build a professional network for when you graduate.

Qualifications

For this opportunity, a degree in a water-related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Geography or Environmental Engineering is expected.
Experience with coding languages, digital development and use of specialist software would be an advantage.
Candidates should be studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of flood risk, drainage and hydraulic modelling studies for a range of infrastructure and development projects.
Assist with data collection, analysis and interpretation, including the use of GIS and modelling tools.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, flood risk assessments and client presentations.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable flood risk management solutions.
Participate in site visits, stakeholder engagement and project meetings while developing professional skills.
