Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom invites driven students to join the Flood Risk and Hydrology team as an intern or placement student. You will gain hands-on experience on real flood mapping projects and risk assessments, collaborating with hydrologists and modelling experts to deliver value for a range of clients.

You will participate in signposted training and development, balancing technical work with professional growth across both 10–12 week internships and 12 month placements.

Qualifications

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)

Responsibilities

• Work with hydrologists and flood modelling experts to deliver flood mapping projects
• Contribute to flood risk assessments and reservoir flood studies
• Assist with water environment EIA and consenting studies
• Support infrastructure and renewable energy project work for diverse clients
