Arup in Birmingham is offering a 6-12 week internship for penultimate-year students in Civil Engineering or Geography & Geospatial Science. You’ll work on real projects from day one and learn alongside experienced professionals.
You’ll experience regular leadership-led learning sessions, site visits to local projects and a range of social events designed to support your learning and professional network before graduation.
Qualifications
- Penultimate-year student pursuing Civil Eng, Geography & Geospatial Science or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience with coding languages and GIS/tools is advantageous.
- Strong fit with changemaker mindset, growth mindset and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of flood risk, drainage and hydraulic modelling studies for infrastructure and development projects.
- Assist with data collection, analysis and interpretation using GIS and modelling tools.
- Prepare technical reports, flood risk assessments and client presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable flood risk solutions.
- Participate in site visits, stakeholder engagement and project meetings while developing professional skills.
