Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting as a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across your local area. You will drive a Royal Mail van and also walk portions of your route, maintaining high service levels in all weather conditions.

You must be able to walk long distances, carry up to 16 kg bags, and pass an initial driving assessment to start. Roles are temporary with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with no more than 6 points is required.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and lift/move a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts vary; we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your round, facing the elements and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Drive the Royal Mail van and complete parts of the route on foot, providing excellent customer service.
• Pass a driving assessment at start and comply with Royal Mail policies.
