Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll deliver letters and parcels around your community using a Royal Mail van, providing reliable service in all weather. The role combines driving with on-foot delivery across your route, requiring stamina and careful handling of items.

Shifts vary, and a driving assessment is required on start. This is a frontline role that keeps the country moving and connects people and businesses daily.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to designated routes, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and navigate routes in your area.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Royal Mail in your community.
