Job summary

Ormiston Denes Academy seeks a dedicated Behaviour and Pastoral Assistant to support students’ wellbeing, behaviour and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff and the inclusion team to help students facing behavioural, emotional, or social challenges engage positively with school life and reach their potential.

You will monitor progress, record concerns, and provide targeted support to individuals or small groups while upholding safeguarding and inclusion commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational/pastoral setting.
• Strong communication, empathy and relationship-building skills.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour and Pastoral Assistant to support students' wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people. Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral leaders, and the wider inclusion team, you will support students who may experience behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, helping them to engage positively with school life and achieve their potential. In this role you will be responsible for providing targeted behaviour and pastoral support to individual students or small groups. You will monitor and record student progress, behaviour and any wellbeing concerns.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children or young people preferably in an educational/pastoral setting. You have strong communication skills, empathy and ability to develop relationships. You will be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for all students.
