Job summary

Randstad Education in Exeter is seeking flexible SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day supply across primary and secondary schools. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs and help maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Hours are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with placements across various schools in Exeter. Previous SEN experience and an enhanced DBS (update service) or willingness to apply are required to support pupils with

• Experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs.
• Patient, resilient, and proactive in pupil engagement.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support tailored to EHCPs.
• Assist classroom teachers with managing group dynamics and creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence across age groups.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.
