Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Flexible SEN Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply across primary and secondary schools in Exeter. You will provide 1:1 and small group support under EHCPs and help maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have SEN experience, patience, strong communication, and eligibility to work in the UK with an enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply). Working hours are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in school, care, or youth work settings.
• Patient, resilient, and proactive pupil engagement.
• Strong communication and adaptability to new environments.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support tailored to EHCPs.
• Assist teachers with managing group dynamics and inclusive learning.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and routine transitions.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence across age groups.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.
