Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a flexible SEN Teaching Assistant for Exeter day-to-day supply across primary and secondary schools. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs and assist teachers with inclusive class management.

Working hours are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with locations across Exeter. Ideal candidates have experience with SEN, strong communication, patience, and the ability to adapt quickly to different

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs (in school, care, or youth work settings).
• Patient, resilient, and proactive approach to pupil engagement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Right to work in the UK; enhanced DBS via Update Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support tailored to individual EHCPs.
• Assist classroom teachers with managing group dynamics and maintaining an inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions throughout the school day.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence in pupils across various age groups.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.
