Job summary

Randstad Education in Exeter is seeking a flexible SEN Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply across primary and secondary schools. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.

The role runs 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, across various Exeter schools. A patient, proactive approach and DBS are required to support inclusion and pupil development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support tailored to EHCPs.
• Assist teachers with managing group dynamics and creating inclusive learning environments.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence across age groups.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings.
