Job summary

Randstad Education in Exeter is seeking an adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply across primary and secondary settings. You will provide 1:1 and small group learning support and help create an inclusive learning environment.

The role offers flexible, day-to-day placements with school-based hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, across various schools in Exeter, supporting pupils with diverse learning needs and EHCPs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young adults with SEN in school, care, or youth settings.
• Patient, resilient, proactive pupil engagement.
• Strong communication and adaptability for new environments.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support for pupils with varying needs.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and inclusive learning.
• Support emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions.
• Promote independence and engagement across age groups.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.
