Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Hastings and the surrounding areas. This role offers day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities for those seeking flexible work and classroom experience.

Ideal candidates have experience with young people, strong communication, and the ability to manage groups calmly. Training and ongoing support are provided, with safeguarding at the core of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting.
• A calm, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Good organisational skills and reliability.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide a positive and professional classroom presence.
• Support students to engage with their learning and complete assigned work.
• Follow all school safeguarding and behaviour procedures.
