Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our retail team in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same. You will help with customer service, stock shelving, process payments and maintain store appearance, contributing to a safe and welcoming shopping experience for all customers.

This role involves supporting various store areas, taking part in seasonal and community activities, and upholding our values while ensuring precise pay and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Know my customers and serving them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
• Actively encourage customers to give feedback on their shopping trip via the 'have your say' survey.
• Work across all areas of the store including online, the tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks are completed to meet customer needs.
• Put training into practice to ensure we work safely.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role we all play to deliver profit.
• Follow company values and policies, making everyone feel welcome.
• Clock in and out to ensure accurate pay for hours worked.
• Keep themselves, colleagues and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
• Follow the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store environment with clear aisles.
• Assist in running the shift when needed by the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
• Adhere to training to keep all staff and customers safe and legal.
• If the store has a Post Office Local, undertake day-to-day post office operations and pass required background checks.
