Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is seeking confident HLTAs to work across primary schools in Rotherham. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements with flexible hours and competitive daily rates.

Ideal candidates hold HLTA status or Level 4, have UK primary school experience, strong classroom management, and excellent communication. An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or a Level 4 qualification is required.
• UK primary school experience is essential.
• Experience leading whole-class learning and covering lessons is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Provide classroom cover across EYFS, KS1, KS2.
• Support teaching and learning in various settings (whole-class, small-group, 1:1).
• Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment.
• Support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
