Job summary

Academics in the Rotherham area is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) for flexible supply work across local primary schools. Roles support learning, behaviour management and adaptive teaching with variation across age ranges.

Ideal candidates include those with QTS or Level 4 HLTA, a positive attitude, and DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one. Opportunities for ongoing local placements and professional development are available through Academics.

Qualifications

• QTS is helpful but not essential.
• Degree educated or Level 4 HLTA or equivalent qualification.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience in school settings desirable but graduates seeking teaching careers welcomed.

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with school planning.
• Follow schools' behaviour and rewards policies.
• Support children's learning and development in a nurturing environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
• Work independently and as part of a team across different settings.
• Be flexible and adaptable, able to move into different classes and age ranges as needed.
