Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary schools across Mansfield and surrounding areas. You will lead lessons, support teachers, and manage classrooms across various year groups, with opportunities from daily supply to longer placements.

Ideal candidates will have HLTA or TA experience, strong communication skills, safeguarding understanding and a proactive, adaptable approach to working in diverse school settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or similar primary education role.
• Experience supporting pupils across the primary age range and leading lessons.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons, deliver planned activities and manage groups.
• Support class teacher and run 1:1 or small-group interventions.
• Create a positive learning environment and maintain high expectations.
