Job summary

Locums First in Markinch is actively seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to support community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services. You will have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit your experience and weekly availability.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures.
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Performing phlebotomy if trained.
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
