Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for Corfe Castle to support patient assessments and routine clinical tasks across community clinics, GP surgeries, and wider primary care services. You will help maintain an efficient clinic environment and adapt to varying shifts.

Responsibilities include patient observations, ECGs, phlebotomy if trained, education, and accurate note-keeping. DBS checks and strong communication are important as you join a flexible, regional locum network.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
