Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to join its team in Burry Port. You will provide flexible, clinical support across local primary care services, with sessions tailored to your availability and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities include routine observations (BP, pulse, temperature), ECGs, phlebotomy if trained, and assisting in treatment rooms. DBS clearance and strong communication are essential for effective patient care.

Qualifications

• HCA experience in primary care, community or NHS settings
• Phlebotomy skills desirable
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently
• Good communication and patient interaction skills
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Performing routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures under clinical supervision
• Conducting ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Providing lifestyle advice and basic patient education
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
