Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible Post Person with Driving to join its delivery teams in the local area. You will deliver letters and parcels across your route, combining van driving with required on-foot delivery to customers and businesses. The role emphasises service, safety, and reliability in all weather conditions.

This temporary position includes guaranteed hours and shifts across days, evenings, and weekends, with a focus on community service and active outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route, ensuring items reach customers safely and on time
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van across your round and walk sections as needed
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards
