Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels across your local area, driving a Royal Mail van and completing parts of your route on foot.

The role requires walking up to 20,000 steps per day, loading mailbags up to 16kg, and adapting to changing shift patterns. A Full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points is essential, along with a positive, community-minded attitude.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical Fitness: Walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van regularly, carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van and walking parts of your route.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Provide excellent service and ensure items reach their destination safely.
