Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible postal delivery drivers to join our team. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with a mix of driving and walking to complete routes across your community.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, physical fitness to walk long distances, and the flexibility to work shifting patterns. You will pass a driving assessment at start and ensure safe, timely deliveries in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you'll deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving your Royal Mail round and walking parts of it to complete deliveries.
• You will securely deliver all items on your route and handle materials in line with Royal Mail standards.
• This role combines driving and on-foot delivery to maintain timely, reliable community service.
