Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible temporary postal delivery drivers. You will drive a Royal Mail van around your delivery area, with parts of the route completed on foot, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.

A full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 points), fitness to walk long distances, and flexibility to work varying shifts are required. Pay rates shown; training and a driving assessment are provided.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your route come rain or shine.
• Walk portions of your route and drive a Royal Mail van; handle election materials per policy.
