Aspire People is recruiting Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioners for roles in Selly Oak and surrounding areas. Flexible full-time, part-time, or weekly hours available in term-time and private day nurseries. Competitive pay and ongoing support from Aspire People.

Roles across multiple nurseries in and around Selly Oak offer opportunities to work with children aged 0-5, with emphasis on safeguarding and development within EYFS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (essential).
• Paediatric First Aid qualification (essential) or willingness to complete.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and positive approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a safe, welcoming, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and encouraged to learn.
• Plan and participate in engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Recognise and support children's individual needs, interests, abilities, and stages of development.
• Encourage children to develop their confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.
• Assist with planning and implementing activities that support children's learning and development.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents, and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing.
• Contribute to observations, assessments, and children's individual learning journeys where required.
