Job summary

Aspire People are assisting Harborne nurseries in finding enthusiastic Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioners to join their teams. Roles are full-time or part-time with flexible hours to suit availability, offering real development opportunities in childcare.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will support children aged 0-5 under EYFS guidance, creating a safe, nurturing environment. Prior nursery experience and a passion for early years are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 in Early Years/Childcare (essential)
• Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
• Experience in nursery or Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Passion for working with young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring, patient and positive approach
• Team player with flexible, proactive attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

Responsibilities

• Support learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with EYFS.
• Provide high-quality care in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Plan and participate in activities supporting social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Recognise and respond to each child's needs, interests and development stage.
• Encourage confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote welfare of all children.
