Job summary

N Family Club in Guildford is seeking a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to support our nursery kitchen operations. You will assist the chef to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children and help cover varied shifts, while keeping hygiene standards and dietary needs in mind.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally nursery kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and nutrition for children.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 or willingness to complete during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh and nutritious meals for nursery children.
• Pot-wash and sterilise crockery and equipment.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure vitamins and nutrients.
• Support chef in accommodating dietary needs and allergies.
• Prepare a daily lunch and smoothies for the nursery team.
• Maintain kitchen paperwork and Cleaning Schedule.
• Order food supplies and manage stock rotation.
• Lead the kitchen in the chef's absence.
• Build good relationships with nursery staff, children and parents.
