Job summary

N Family Club in Dulwich, London, is seeking a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to support our chef in a state-of-the-art nursery kitchen. This role offers flexible hours under a Casual Working Agreement, with duties spanning cooking, food prep and daily kitchen tasks to meet diverse dietary needs.

You will participate in the menu creation, ensure allergen safety, and help deliver nutritious meals for our nursery children, while maintaining high cleanliness and teamwork in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition
• Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willing to complete during onboarding)
• Passion for food and nutrition

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh and inspiring food for children
• Pot-wash and ensure crockery and equipment are cleaned and sterilised
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure proper vitamins and nutrients
• Support the chef in catering to dietary needs and allergies
• Prepare daily lunch and smoothie for nursery team
• Help manage kitchen paperwork and daily diaries
• Oversee ordering of food supplies and stock rotation
• Adhere to H&S policy and 5-star Food Hygiene standards
• Cover and lead the kitchen in the chef's absence
• Build relationships with nursery team, children and parents
