Job summary

N Family Club is seeking a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef in running the state-of-the-art nursery kitchen. You will help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for our children and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.

This casual, zero-hour role offers flexible shifts across our South West London nurseries. You will learn nutrition guidelines, cater to dietary needs, and may cover in the Chef's absence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment and/or nursery kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Ideally Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to complete during onboarding).
• Passion for food and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh and inspiring food for our children, with some flexibility to meet nursery needs.
• Pot-wash for the nursery, ensuring crockery and equipment are cleaned and sterilised.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure vitamins and nutrients.
• Support the chef to cater for differing dietary needs and allergies, avoiding cross-contamination.
• Prepare daily lunch and smoothies for the nursery team, accommodating dietary requirements.
• Assist with kitchen paperwork and daily compliance tasks, including the Due Diligence Diary and Cleaning Schedule.
• Order food supplies from accredited suppliers and manage weekly stock rotation.
