Job summary

N Family Club is seeking a flexible Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef in a busy nursery kitchen in London. The role offers a Casual Working Agreement (0-hour contract) with shifts that suit your lifestyle, and a focus on fresh, nutritious meals for children.

You will follow approved recipes, handle allergies and dietary requirements, and help maintain a 5-star hygiene standard while building positive relationships with staff, parents and children.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen and/or nursery kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to complete on onboarding).

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh and inspiring food for children.
• Pot-wash and sanitize crockery and equipment.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure nutrients.
• Cater to dietary needs while preventing cross-contamination.
• Prepare daily lunch and a smoothie for nursery staff.
• Maintain kitchen paperwork and daily hygiene diary.
• Manage weekly food orders and stock rotation.
• Lead the kitchen in the chef's absence.
