Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible (temporary) Post Persons with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across local routes in the community. You will typically drive a Royal Mail van and may walk sections of your route to complete the delivery, ensuring secure, on-time delivery in all weather conditions.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points, the ability to walk long distances (up to 20,000 steps daily), and adaptability to varying shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your route, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering on foot where required.
• Handle and deliver items including election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment on start and stay compliant with route and safety requirements.
