Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring flexible Post Person with Driving (temporary) to cover local delivery routes. You will drive a Royal Mail van and also walk parts of your round to deliver letters and parcels with care.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence, good physical fitness, and flexibility for varying shifts. Start with a driving assessment and potential path to permanent opportunities through Angard Staffing.

Qualifications

• Driving licence: Full, manual UK licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk long distances and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts can vary; need to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across the delivery area, on foot and by van.
• Ensure items reach recipients safely, rain or shine, handling election materials as required.
• Maintain professional, community-facing service during shifts.
