Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. and NCG Colleges Lewisham are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for their South London Further Education Supply Bank.

The role focuses on providing tailored support to learners, fostering inclusion and helping students overcome barriers to learning. Ideal candidates bring patience, adaptability and a learner-centered approach, with GCSE English and Maths and experience in education or related care settings.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grades A-C, including English and Maths where required.
• Experience supporting learners in educational, care or similar settings.
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help learners engage with their studies.
• Support learners with SEND, EHCPs and additional learning needs.
• Assist lecturers with classroom activities and adapt learning materials.
• Promote learner confidence, independence, engagement and positive behaviour.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Help learners progress toward their learning objectives.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure appropriate learner support.
