Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. in Lewisham, South London, is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join the NCG Further Education Supply Bank.

You will work with lecturers and support teams to provide tailored help to learners across multiple FE settings, focusing on inclusion and learner achievement. Qualifications

• GCSEs at grades A-C, including English and Maths where required.
• Experience supporting learners or individuals in educational or care settings.
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive support strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive professional relationships with learners and staff.
• Patient, empathetic and learner-centred approach.
• Ability to adapt to different environments and needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help learners engage with studies.
• Support learners with SEND, EHCPs and additional learning needs.
• Assist lecturers with classroom activities and adapt materials to individual needs.
• Promote learner confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Help learners progress towards learning objectives.
• Work with staff to ensure learners receive appropriate assistance.
• Follow college safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
